Hello!
I wanted to drop a line and let everyone at Lost Angels know that I adopted my dog from LAAR 6 years ago this month and I still have him with me and we couldn't be happier. His name at the shelter was "Chewy" but I renamed him Jeff when I adopted him. Last year, my husband and I moved to Moscow, Russia for work and Jeff, and our other adopted dog (Abby), made the trip with us. The winter was an adjustment for a little Florida dog like Jeff, but with the help of booties and a snow suit he made it through just fine. This summer we spent a month in France, with Jeff in tow. In 6 years, Jeff has gone from a pound puppy to a world travelor with an EU passport of hiw own!
I thought you may be interested in his story and an update. Thank you so much for placing such an amazing little dog in my life. My husband and I love him so much.

The Girls
...the girls wanted to say hello! They are fabulous, but for some reason, Hannah has developed a terrible fear of thunder storms! Didn't use to bother her at all, so don't know where that come from and she doesn't like the garbage truck either. Other than that, they are happy and healthy and absolutely adore their little buddy Cade (our grandson).
Get Well Soon Gumbo!
Thought you might like an update on Gumbo. Last month I noticed a small "bump" on his paw. The vet checked it out and the results came back that it was a melanoma (cancerous) tumor. Gumbo had surgery last week to have it removed, which resulted in his toe being amputated. He is recovering very well!! He gets his stitches out next week. Here is a picture of him the day I picked him up after surgery!

Kayley
What a face : )
From her mommy: "She was on death row at animal services because they said she had bitten a child. But with a lot of love and patience, she's the most absolute cuddly sweetheart you could ever meet. In fact, people have actually asked if they could have her - she's the life of any party and a joy to be around!!! Of course we say, 'no way."
Fosters have Fun at the Beach-Part1!!!!
This is Twixx and she is up for adoption! What a sweet heart!
Too cute not to share. This is the real difference between a shelter dog and a rescue dog. Rescue dogs learn house manners and get socialized... shelter dogs do not have this opportunity. Adopt from us so we can get more dogs out of the shelter and teach them the ways of life and how to get a good home!! What a joy to see dogs who were once abandoned and unwanted going to the beach and splashing in the water... having FUN!! Great job to foster mom Wendy!! Next post will include the rest of the pictures...

Metu and Elliott go on to Help Others!!
Metu and Elliott were saved from HCAS right in time. There was a distemper outbreak shortly after and these two were lucky to make it out of there in time!! There new owner takes fantastic care of them, as you can see. They are a lucky pair... Their mommy now sponsors one of Lost Angels long-time fosters in their honor! So they have now paid it forward as they say : )

Ozzie's Travels
Just wanted to give you a little update on Ozzie... he is doing great!!! He is such a sweet, happy, loving little guy! He is maintaining his 6 pounds and is no longer a little bag of bones. He recently had his first grooming and did so well. He has been getting so much love and attention, not only from us, but from our families that have been visiting through out the last couple of months. He has been to the doggie beach several times (although he is not interested in the water... at all!) and plays with the other doggies, he's been on a boat ride (wearing a doggie life jacket, of course!), our neighbor dog came over for a sleepover one night and he spends a good amount of time with the other dogs in the family. Ozzie just loves everyone!!! And everyone loves him!!! :)
